PES Executive Body Meeting - 25 Dec 2007
The recent Pakistan Endocrine Society's Executive Body Meeting took place on 25th December 2007. All activities of the year 2007 discussed and future plans regarding CME activities, PES Annual Symposium and distribution of newsletters.
The recent CME activity was held in Larkana, which was successfully managed by Dr. Saeed Mahar, Prof. Wazir Sheikh and Dr. Zakir Alavi. It was sponsored by Highnoon.
PES Society Guidelines regarding Diabetes Management in Ramazan is published in the local Newspapers. 4th Newsletter is under process and will be available soon. New website is appreciated and new sections related to Members and database for corporate members suggested.
PES clinical meetings were held every month for GP's in different locations to facilitate the doctors. Locations were Baqai Medical College, Aga Khan Hospital, NICH, JPMC and LNH Karach>i.
CME planned for the 2008 include:
- Quetta (Balochistan) Dr. Najmul Islam. Dr. H. Aamir, Dr. Aysha Sheikh.
- Peshawar (N.W.F.P) Dr. Jaweed akhter Dr, Khalid Imam, Dr. yaqoob Ahmedani.
- Pindi (Punjab) Dr. Abbass Raza.
- Mirpur Khas (Sindh) Dr. Zaman Sheikh. Dr. Zakir Alvi, Dr. Abdul Jababr.
Annual Symposium is planned to be held in Karachi at PC hotel and it would be a day and a half symposium.
